There are many issues we must address in Seaside, both complex ones and sometimes relatively simple (yet in some cases frustratingly persistent) ones.
Here are links to pages discussing some issues most frequently discussed by concerned residents and other stakeholders.

Also note that these issues are usually symbiotically linked. One area can’t be neglected . . . or the others suffer. This is why it is so important to have city council members that are willing to educate themselves and consistently look beyond what seems like an easy “solution” in one area. For example, if City Marketing is weak, qualified developers may not be attracted to the City and as a result the City’s fiscal performance will suffer.
Another example: without a dependable water supply, business creation and new housing development will suffer. With current and projected population growth, increased pressure on the housing supply leads to more and more people living in each dwelling unit. Then on-street parking demand explodes, leading to worse and worse navigability of Seaside’s streets.
This list is not expected to be comprehensive. If you have an issue you would like to see addressed, give me some feedback on the Help Seaside page or give me a call.
